Specializing in research, evaluation, measurement and statistics, Dr. Chan Hellman is one of the nation’s leading researchers on understanding and measuring HOPE and the concept of HOPE as a social gift. Dr. Hellman is an Associate Dean in the College of Arts & Sciences, Professor in the Department of Human Relations and Founding Director of the Center of Applied Research for Nonprofit Organizations at the University of Oklahoma. His publications have appeared in various scientific journals (e.g., Journal of Happiness Studies, Educational and Psychological Measurement, Journal of Personality Assessment) and books. Additionally, he has presented his research at over 100 national and international conferences.
